In a bizarre partnership that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual meeting draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Additional Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
