Hurt Benjamin Sesko to Miss Slovenian National Team Matches but Manchester United Optimistic of Quick Comeback
Forward Sesko will miss out on Slovenia's upcoming matches versus Sweden and Kosovo because of a knee injury sustained during the latest match at Tottenham. However, the club is optimistic that he could return soon enough to face Everton following the international break.
Injury Details and Recovery Period
The forward was substituted after 87 minutes of the Saturday 2-2 draw against Tottenham after being introduced in the 58th minute replacing Noussair Mazraoui. Manager Ruben Amorim voiced worry after the game, leading to Sesko's withdrawal from the Slovenia national team.
Manchester United will conduct additional examinations at Carrington in the coming days, but early indications point to a possible return ahead of the Everton match scheduled for November 24th.
Other Squad News
Maguire and Casemiro also were forced off the pitch during the Spurs encounter. While the defender's condition is yet to be determined, it is understood that Casemiro is available and has reported for national team commitments for Brazil.
Lisandro Martínez, who has been sidelined after suffering a knee issue in February, will join Argentina at their European training camp. But, the center-back won't play in Friday's exhibition match versus Angola at Luanda. A member of United's performance team will support the player, who has lately returned to training with the first-team group.
