Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is presently halfway through the four-year deal he inked when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the first significant honor of his notable career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he previously was, and would seriously think about lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different opportunities and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
